Step 1: Check your internet connection
The truTV app requires an Internet connection of 3.0 Mbps or greater. If you are experiencing difficulty streaming, make sure you are on a wireless internet connection. If you are using a cellular data network, you may want to connect your device to a WiFi network.
Step 2: Clear the cache and restart the app
On your device, navigate to Settings > Applications > Application Manager (this step may vary by device and operating system) > tap truTV in the list of apps > Force Stop > Storage > Clear Data > Clear Cache. Open the app to see if this resolved the issue.
Step 3: Restart your device
Power off your device and wait at least 20 seconds. Then start again and see if the issue is resolved.
Step 4: Remove and reinstall the app
Click and hold the app icon and select "Uninstall." The download the app again from the Google Play Store. Open the app and try playing a video to see if the issue is fixed.
Step 5: Install Android software updates
The truTV app runs best when you are using the latest software for your device. Check for Android software updates by going to Settings > About Phone > System Update on your device.
